Principal's Message

Dear Miller Elementary School Students and Families,

It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new principal of Miller School. I am honored to follow in the footsteps of the outstanding Mrs. Goines, whose leadership and dedication have had a lasting impact on the Miller community. I look forward to building upon the strong foundation she helped establish and continuing the tradition of excellence at our school.

This past year marked my 20th anniversary with the Lancaster School District. Over the course of these two decades, I have served in a variety of roles that have deepened my passion for public education and my commitment to student success. I am entering my seventh year as a principal and ninth year as a school administrator, and I consider it a privilege to work alongside the dedicated educators, engaged families, and exceptional students here at Miller.

This year is especially exciting as we officially welcome our incoming 8th graders, making Miller School a full Kindergarten through 8th grade campus. This expansion represents a new chapter for our school, and we are committed to ensuring a smooth, supportive, and enriching experience for all students—whether they are just beginning their educational journey or preparing for high school. We are thrilled to grow together as one unified school community.

At Miller, I am committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment where every child is known, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential. I believe in the power of collaboration between school and home and am eager to partner with you to ensure your child’s growth and success.

I look forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks. Thank you for the warm welcome—I am proud to be joining the Miller family!
Sincerely,

Rebekah McConnell
Principal
