Family Ambassador and Community School Liaison

Meet Our Family Ambassador – Julianna Arias
Julianna Arias serves as our Family Ambassador, supporting strong partnerships between our families and school. In her role, she is a dedicated advocate and a bridge between home and school, helping ensure families feel heard, informed, and connected.
Julianna hosts workshops for families on a variety of topics and provides valuable resources to support our school community. She is here to listen, support, and help families navigate school programs and services.
We are grateful for the work she does to strengthen our school community!
Meet Our Community School Liaison – Brandy Sahagun
Brandy Sahagun serves as our Community School Liaison, supporting strong partnerships between our school and community. In her role, she works to bring in new resources and programs for families based on their needs and the needs of their children.
Her goal is to ensure we are meeting the academic, social, emotional, and basic needs of our students and families. By building connections and expanding access to support, Brandy helps strengthen our entire school community.
We appreciate the work she does to advocate for and support our students and families every day.
The flyer announces an upcoming School Site Council (SSC) meeting scheduled for Wednesday, March 11th from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.  Families are invited to attend and be part of the school’s planning and initiatives. The meeting brings together parents, teachers, and school staff to collaborate and make important decisions that affect students’ education.  The flyer also notes that light snacks will be provided for those who attend.
The flyer announces an ELAC (English Learner Advisory Committee) meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 12th from 2:45 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.  Families are invited to attend the meeting. The flyer explains that ELAC is a group made up of parents/guardians, staff, and community members who work together to advise the school on programs and services that support Multilingual Learners and students with English Learner (EL) status.  The flyer also notes that light snacks and drinks will be provided for those who attend.
Games on the Lawn is a fun, colorful flyer promoting a student-only event for Grades K–3rd on March 20. Students will enjoy playing games on the lawn during recess and spending time with friends.  The flyer also highlights a “No Minor/Majors” challenge from March 2nd–20th, encouraging positive behavior leading up to the event.

Upcoming Events

This flyer promotes free online tutoring for TK–8th grade students through Tutor.com. Students can access tutoring 24/7 in a variety of subjects.  To use the service, students can log in through ClassLink or Google Workspace and select the Tutor App, or scan the QR code on the flyer. The service provides a safe place for students to connect with a tutor and get academic support anytime.
The flyer promotes “Vaccines for School” at the LANCSD Vaccine Clinic. It encourages families to get ready for school by making sure students are up to date on their immunizations.  The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., starting July 21, 2025.  Location: 44334 Hardwood Ave. Lancaster, CA 93534  Families are instructed to enter through the main black gate and to bring their most current immunization record.
