Dear Miller Families,

 

Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope this letter finds you and your family well and enjoying a restful and joyful summer. As we prepare for another exciting year at Miller, I’m thrilled to share some important updates and extend my heartfelt welcome.

 

This will be my second year serving as Assistant Principal here within the Lancaster School District, and I am truly honored to continue working with our incredible students, dedicated staff, and supportive families. I’ve already seen the strong sense of community that makes our school so special, and I look forward to deepening those relationships in the year ahead.

 

We are especially excited to announce that this will be our first year as a full K–8 school! With the addition of our 8th-grade class, we are proud to provide a full continuum of learning and leadership opportunities for our students. This milestone represents a significant step forward in our school’s growth and in our commitment to providing a rich, developmentally supportive experience for every learner.

 

One of my core priorities will continue to be the development of a positive, inclusive school culture. I am committed to using restorative strategies and trauma-informed practices to ensure that every student feels safe, heard, and valued. These approaches help us build strong relationships, resolve conflicts in meaningful ways, and create an environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

 

I believe deeply in the power of partnership between home and school. Together, we can foster an atmosphere where children not only learn but feel empowered to be their best selves. I encourage you to stay engaged, attend school events, and reach out with your questions, ideas, or concerns. Your voice is an essential part of our school community.
